Got the giggles

This is going to be a little bit smaller post than my typical ones!  I just got back from mexico ( was there for work...I know rough life)!  I was in Mexico for 6 days...this was the longest I have ever been away from Layla!  It was pretty dang hard, but she was in good hands.  She was with Dan until Tuesday and then my parents took her from Tuesday-Saturday!  And by the time I got her back she was spoiled rotten!  So because of that there are not that many pictures.
Here are some updates on Layla:
*She now says; Hi, di di (bye bye), sank ew (thank you), no (no) and of course dada and occasionally mama if I am lucky!
*She is so close to walking on her own, everyday it is getting closer and closer.  She finally likes pushing her little stroller around the house. 
*She loves it when you pretend to chase her around the house.  She laughs the whole time...especially when you catch her.

The video below is another one of her favorite activities...pulling the laundry out of the laundry basket while you are trying to fold it.  She pretty much thinks it is the best thing ever!

We are finally staying around this weekend...so I will get some pictures taken!

Time to PARTY!!!!

This has been a CRAZY busy last month!  From Easter to Birthday to Affirmation...we have been a busy little family.  My house is a disaster...I should pack for Mexico...I should start doing laundry...but no, I am procrastinating...so I minus well write my next blog entry :)

This is going to be mostly pictures...hope you don't mind!

So lets start off with Easter...Layla and I packed up and went to Rhinelander to spend it with my parents.  Dan had to work all weekend, so we went on a little road trip. The weekend was super relaxing...just hung out, watched movies, shopped and went to church!

Now it came the weekend of her big 1st birthday party!  Her party was on Saturday and it rained all day long :( and Layla was cutting 6 teeth (yup 6)...but the show must go on!  It was obviously a ladybug themed party!  It was so great, a bunch of our family and friends came out to celebrate...so thanks again to everybody who came.  Layla is one lucky girl!

It was cupcake time...we stripped her down to her diaper and bib.  Just waiting for us to finish singing to her!

I thought she would dive in and devour the cake...but she just nibbled it...crumb by crumb!

She still made a mess...and then she was over it!

My dad baptized Layla when she was a baby in the hospital, so now that Dan and I are becoming members in a church in Duluth we wanted her to be affirmated at the church.  Her godparents were on hand for this special day!

 Well today is her actual birthday!  What a difference a year makes...our life has been changed dramatically from when Layla entered our lives, definitely for the better.  She brings us such joy, happiness and love every single day!  We thank God everyday that he gave us her, she is the best surprise we have ever received.
