Layla Ann: March 2011

First and foremost I would like to say that I am pretty darn proud of myself for updating my blog somewhat recent! Even though I am exhausted and just want to sleep...I am going to power through and finish this post!
We started last week on a high note...Layla was pulling herself up onto anything and everything she could. From your leg to the wall...if she thought it was sturdy she would try to stand up on it! Here is Layla in action!


Here she is standing...sometimes she forgets that she isn't sturdy and she falls quite often!

Toward the end of last week Layla came down with a pretty good fever. It broke our hearts that our little Layla was sick...but she finally would cuddle with us! I know that sounds selfish, but she fell asleep on Dan, Lynne (Dan's mom) and me..that never happens. So we treasure every second and nursed her back to health. She still has a cough and runny nose, but no fever.

This weekend Dan and Matt threw Lynne a surprise 60th birthday party! It was a great time! Lynne was so shocked...I love surprises. We didn't stay too late because Layla still wasn't feeling 100%, but she sure was the bell of the ball! Getting passed around from person to person and loving every second of it. When she came home she was ready to party and not wanting to go to sleep (she gets that from me...back in my younger years!)

I am finishing of this blog with a little video that is bound to put a smile on your face. Dan was putting away the groceries the other day and kicked one of the plastic grocery bags. Needless to say Layla thought it was the coolest thing ever...enjoy!

I have always wanted to start a blog...first I thought that it would be about fashion, or our adventures in Duluth, then I realized I really don't have time to do either of those. So I decided that I would start this little blog about the new love of our lives...Layla Ann Frigaard.

I am starting this blog a little late, I do realize this. Layla is now almost exactly 10 months old! I seriously cannot believe it! She is at such an amazing age...I sometimes just watch her play and I just wonder what is going through that little head.
Some things you should know about Layla:
*Her nickname is: bug, bugga, monster and my dad just decided her new nickname for him is bucky!
*She eats basically everything in sight...loves feeding herself! Her favorite foods are fruit (which makes sense because that is ALL I ate when I was pregnant with her), cheese, fresh peas (she is a little picky) and she freaks out when you give her a couple mandarian oranges...loves them!
*She is crawling all over the place...whenever I go in the house I have a little shadow behind me.
*She loves pulling herself up on pretty much anything
*She LOVES making people laugh. She makes the most ridiculous faces and tries to mimick what noises you make and then smiles back at you when you smile. It just melts your little heart
*She loves shopping...my little shopping buddy!
*She is amazing in car rides
*Her favorite toy is basically everything we didn't buy for her...for example. I just bought her a new toy from target, and she was SO excited about the box! She loves playing with DVD cases and paper. So we are just not going to buy her anymore toys.

*She has always been in the 99th percentile for weight and head circumference at every doctor check up. At her 9 month check up she weighed 25lbs 7oz.!! Yep she is a little chuncker!

*She is the luckiest girl in the world to be surronded by such amazing family and friends that love her so much!

Well there you go...there are her latest stats. So if you haven't seen her in awhile, now you can feel like you know her that much better.

So the goal for myself is to update this blog with pictures and videos weekly. She is changing so much day by day that I want to try to document as much as possible.
